I had an idea to make a spicier diavola than the usual ones I had in the past. I used some scotch bonnets along with carolina reaper marinated chorizo. I can’t find very spicy chorizo where I live so I tried marinating it in some really spicy hot sauce. It did a really good job bringing some heat.

Has anyone ever tried marinating smoked meats like chorizo or pepperoni to give it more heat or am I being stupid here?
