My uncle passed away and this traeger sat outside covered for probably a couple years. When I plug it in the screen blinks and I can’t get the grill to fire or auger to turn.
I was volunteered to try and fix it solely cause I have my own traeger. But mine works great and I’ve never had to diagnose or fix any issues. Also not sure if I could even get parts since I was told it’s an older model.
Think there is is any chance in an easy fix? Or maybe it’s worth something sold as is on FB marketplace? Or just scrap it?

Just from the issues you listed the control board is probably fried.Depends on if you want to pay to fix it or not I guess and how much you want it to run. If you fix it you can probably make a decent penny for selling. Or you can keep it and have 2 smokers
Honestly these things are super basic pieces of electronics and this thing is in fantastic condition and I would absolutely try and fix it.
To me it sounds like the controller needs replacing. Also, dumb question, but you made sure that hopper has some pellets when turning it on right?
Replace board, easy to clean the rust off with a wire wheel, and basic home made vinegar & baking soda mixture.
I got mine because a friend didn’t want to try to fix it. I bought an aftermarket board and temp sensor and it’s been running great ever since. I think it set me back like $60. There are tons of youtube videos and guides to repairing them and it’s not at all complicated.
Looks great to me
