It’s a type of legume like beans. It’s gluten-free and has twice the amount of protein compared to wheat pasta. it’s also cheaper and rich in fibers. Try it with pesto, bolo, carbo or my pink mac & cheese recipe!

100g red lentil = 9g protein, 8g fibers, 20g carbs
100g wheat = 5g protein, 0g fibers, 25g carbs
100g beef = 14g protein, 0g fibers

VEGAN MAC & CHEESE RECIPE
* Cook 1 box of @barillaus red lentil penne in salted boiling water
* Strain
* Add 1 bottle @miyokoscreamery liquid mozzarella
* Add 1 can @sprouts crushed tomato
* Top with 1 box @followyourheart parmesan
* Bake for 20 min at 375 F

  2. Red lentils are high in iron too. I usually mix it 50/50 with whole grain but if you are gluten free this is amazing.
