Short Rib Ragu Fettuccine and Pan Seared Salmon Filet from Morgans On The Danforth

We came here a couple times years ago and enjoyed it but then forgot about it until recently when we dropped in for drinks while on the waitlist for The Wren and made dinner reservations this weekend. The ragu maybe isn’t the most photogenic dish but it’s been some time since I’ve had a pasta dish this good, the mild sweetness of the short rib with the tomato sauce and cheese blends together perfectly and not sure if they make the pasta in house but it had that fresh texture. I tried a few bites of my wife’s salmon filet with the mushroom cream sauce which was excellent as well. Good beers on tap. Very impressed by this visit, seems they improved since we last came here years ago and we’ll definitely be back.

    I had a pretty bad experience (service wise) here in the summer, but the food was really good. Yours looks devious. May have to give them a second chance.

    I didn’t expect this type of food from Morgan’s. I walk pass it all the time and never thought of trying it. I’m going to try it now!
