It took about 2 weeks, but it’s like my body flipped a switch between Sunday and Monday. I went from (clearly) using every calorie (and more) in my budget, being constantly ravenous, and thinking about food 24/7 to now, not even feeling the need or desire to use all of my calories for the day. It’s just super interesting seeing it laid out like this!

Can confirm this happened to me. Been on cico since January, first nothing happened despite staying on track with calories. Then I took a better look and my budget was 1500 which I know is too much for me so I adjusted it to about 1380. I made sure to eat every calorie at first, but after a week or two now it’s like I ate 1250 calories but I am full so I will stop for today. And finally also seeing results. I also don’t wake up ravenous but am like meh, I’ll have a light breakfast of about 200 calories. And it’s my pms time, too, haven’t been craving anything, no junk food no chocolate no snacking! I sleep better, too. I also try to eat high volume low cal meals so I get the most out the calories.

Accepting the change is a difficult part of the process for sure. “Just eat less” involves a period of discomfort.

  3. Okay, but make sure you don’t eat too little. Sustainability is the goal, not malnutrition.
