How would a company even think this is remotely acceptable to send?

People upset because their meat doesn’t look attractive despite the meat still tasting perfectly fine when cooked is wild to me

  2. muscledaddyrwc

I’ve had that multiple times. Doesn’t need to be pounded down and actually cooks quickly and evenly.

What’s this supposed to be? I saw cutlet on another comment, are you breading this?

  4. johnathome

I had to read the comments to find out what that was.

It looks like a scrotal sack.

Looks fine to me, you’re being a baby.

    Everything reminds me of u/31andnotdone

They slice their chicken breasts in half. If I got a whole pack like this I’d be thrilled, I hate the super thick ones.

Folks in the comments are weird af for being ok with this. Idgaf what anyone says, that ish isn’t normal. Make them refund you.

  9. Nah I’m with you on this it’s a shitty cutlet and I’ve had tons of woody breasts from them too. It also just doesn’t taste great. I avoid the chicken.

I just always cut my chicken breasts with kitchen shears if it’s a whole chicken breast recipe. Cooks faster and I know it’s cooked through, and saves time to cut it up after.

So get a refund if you’re not happy lol what are you posting here for? If they don’t refund you when you’re unhappy that’s another story

What did you expect? Also, stop while you’re at it, using a plastic cutting board.

Lots if people disagreeing here but I’m with you. You pay enough to expect quality. I would not be happy if I got that and not like an extra piece to make up for its size. Obviously not every piece is the same which is fine but it needs to be enough for a meal.

Yeah is this for a breaded item? If you’re making something like chicken parm they usually pound the meat with a hammer, which is what this kind of looks like.

For me. It’ll depend on what you’re making to decide if this is ok or not, but I know what you’re saying in your post! I used HF for months , I was put off their red meat almost instantly as for two weeks every packet was the fattest red meat I’d ever seen! I continued to use them but just chicken and veggie meals and soon went down to veggie only. I know it’s to help food waste and they need to keep their costs down but I just couldn’t justify it in the end

Maybe some of it broke off in the package? They usually send it by weight.

  17. WastelandGinger

They lie on weight and have been for a long time. That’s what made me leave.

  18. and wtf is that ment to be chicken? looks like a ballsack

I can’t believe people are ok with this. I can get larger and better chicken at the grocery store much cheaper. It’s why we never get HF much anymore. I think we only got 1 early in 2023 and they didn’t even send enough meat in that box. Gave us a $6 credit that is still in our account.
