After a bit of research, I’m trying out a keto diet starting today. Here’s my lunch, have I gone too far here? Seems mad that I could eat like this and actually lose weight!?

Technically yes. Just one question: Isn’t there barley or something in the black pudding?

Calories in, calories out still applies on keto. One thing I learned was to aim for protein keto instead of fat bomb keto.

Looks good to me! The grilled mushrooms are an excellent idea to me. Yes, your body will start burning fat. When you want to lose weight, you will still want to eat less calories. There’s multiple apps that can help you determine an estimate for how many calories you should be consuming per day.
My estimate is 1400-1800 calories per day, but with ketosis, my appetite is almost nonexistent. I get about 1300 calories most days (yes, eating bacon and butter). Some days, I’m around 900 calories, so by the end of the day, I am telling myself that I need to eat something. That’s mind-blowing as someone who spent the first three decades of their life always hungry on low fat diets or just trying to restrict calories to lose weight. In the evening, when I was tired, that’s when my willpower to avoid snacks was also low. Now I’m usually able to eat keto snacks, because I’m at too big of a deficit by the end of the day.
This looks like a satiating meal with a nice balance of protein, fat, and veggies for fiber. I like some pico de gallo or a few pieces of grilled onion of bell pepper with my eggs.
