This was I think the first cake I’ve made since I was a kid making box cakes for family birthdays. Everything was fairly simple but good grief it was a ton of work. I burned the nuts and had to go back to the store for more (I did the same thing making Stella’s cinnamon rolls for Christmas. We went without nuts that time).
Tasted super good! I want to make more cakes but I’m not a huge cake person and honestly a fruit galette or something is so much easier and maybe better.
