Idk about you, but every time I’ve bought a large or even mid sized onion from the store to make 1 recipe it’s always way too much and I end up throwing away half of it. I appreciate that hellofresh uses smaller onions because in my experience it’s always been plenty for our 2 people meals.

I have to agree. Since I buy a four serving meal every time, I have yet to receive such a small onion. Occasionally I get a small cucumber, carrot or zucchini – but the other(s) are always large – sometimes freakishly so. I’d be curious if one of the HF employees AMA mentioned that they weigh the veg to make sure they are sending out the right size per recipe.

My wife and I always buy extra “aromatics” on our grocery runs. Onions- green and yellow, shallot, ginger, and for the love of all things holy- a ridiculous amount of garlic. Those tiny two toenails they provide aren’t enough for 1 portion, much less 4!
