How to cook Fried Shrimp w/ Batter NO Breadcrumbs ~ Yummy
Oh yea… I make shrimp all the time but these were the best ones I have ever made… I think it was the addition of Rice Vinegar..

I hope you give it a try… Be sure to remove all the shells and tails as you will want to devour all the shrimp, including batter..

Ingredients
Batter
1 egg
1 cup flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
3/4 cup of Ice water
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup Cooking oil
1 teaspoon old bay…
2 teaspoons hot sauce I used Franks
Shrimp
1/2 teaspoon Salt or to taste
1/2 teaspoon Pepper or to taste
1/8 cup Rice Vinegar I SAID 1/4 CUP BUT ONLY 1/8 CUP..
1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
1 1/2 pounds of 26 to 30 count shrimp.. De-veined, Shelled and tails removed…
Peanut oil for frying
Prepare as shown..

  5. I made your recipe tonight with someΒ  nice black tiger shrimp and it was perfect!!! My husband is fussy about batters( doesn't like heavy or doughy) and this just PERFECT! Light, crispy and just the right amount of seasoning, rice vinegar isΒ a very nice addition!Β My husband wants me to use this in our next pickerel fish fry!! :)…Have a Great Day!

  9. I loved the shrimp but mine didn't come out that pretty golden like yours any ideas

  10. I did something wrong not sure what but the batter slipped off after they were cooked golden brown and the inside seemed raw. Maybe my oil was too hot idk or do I need to flour them before dipping in the batter?
