Hey all. I have a Z-Grill that I’ve been having nothing but problems with. I recently replaced the thermometer on the inside of the grill because the original one stopped reading the proper temperature. It seemed to be working fine after that for a while. My latest problem is the fire pot seems to be filling up too fast. It’s not burning the pellets fast enough, and in turn I don’t think the fan is able to keep the fire going. I attached a couple pictures. I couldn’t get the girl to go over 250° before the fire pot was full of pellets. The pellets seem fine, they’re traeger pellets and they don’t seem moist at all. That was my original thought is maybe the pellets are too moist to burn. Does anyone have this problem, and if so what was a solution. Any thoughts?

  1. Traeger pellets are junk. Get some decent ones and try again.

How long have you had the z grill and which model is this one?

I had the same issue on my Z Grill 700 with B&B pellets (longer pellets) and switched to Bear Mountain and the issue resolved.
