I love croissants. Is it just me or do many bakeries in town overcook them? The example picture is from here in Austin.

I’m an eater…not a baker. I’m really curious what a traditional croissant should look like 🤷‍♂️

I’ve eaten them in France (many years ago), and don’t remember them being so dark and dry on the outside.
