What do I do when my baking pan is too big?

    Your restraint is limitless. When I am at this point I always go with: “Ehh, I might as well make the whole thing. I can eat the leftovers tomorrow.”

    Why not just make a bowl out of the aluminum foil?

    You’re gonna have some major leaks like that. Make a bowl in the pan with the foil, not a wall lol.

    I just use boxes from the USPS with a top cut off, remove adhesive, wrap in tin foil.

    Then you throw it away.

    I did something similar with a frozen lasagna. I didn’t want to bake in the coated paper tray it came in. My baking dishes were too square or too long. So I threw it in the larger pan and made a berm of foil to keep it in place. It actually worked really well! Very little leakage too, I was worried we’d have a dry/burned bottom.

  9. You’re allowed to buy smaller pans, an eighth sheet for instance
