Cornbread Dressing
Ingredients:
1 Whole Young Chicken
2 boxes of Cornbread
1 1/2 Yellow Onion
1/2 of Green Bell Pepper
6 stalks of Celery
3 Carrots
2 Eggs
1/4 cup of Butter
1 can of Cream of Chicken
2 tablespoons of Chicken Bouillon
Season All
Black Pepper
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Poultry Seasoning
Sage
Instructions:
Chicken Broth
1. Chop 1 yellow onion into fourths.
2. Chop 3 stalks of celery.
3. Chop 3 carrots.
4. Lightly season chicken with season all, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
5. In a pot, add enough of water to slightly cover the chicken and bring to a simmer.
6. Add yellow onion, carrots, celery, and 2 tablespoons of chicken bouillon. Mix.(bay leaves and thyme can be added for additional flavor )
7. Add chicken
8. Cover with a lid and allow to simmer for two hours.
9. After 2 hours, remove the chicken, skim the grease off top, and strain the broth into a jar or container.
Dressing
1. Dice 3 stalks of celery.
2. Dice 1/2 of yellow onion.
3. Dice 1/2 of green bell pepper.
4. In a pan, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
5. Add chopped veggies and sauté for 5 minutes.
6. Remove the skin and bones from the chicken thighs and legs and shred the chicken. (Any part of the chicken can be used but thighs and legs tend to be more flavorful)
7. Crumble cornbread. (2 boxes of cornbread should be baked according to the directions on your package in advance to allow time to cool in the fridge or overnight)
8. In a bowl, add crumbled cornbread, shredded chicken, sautéed veggies, 1/4 cup of melted butter, 1 can of cream of chicken and 2 eggs. Mix.
9. Slowly add in 1 1/2 cups of chicken broth.
10. Season to taste with season all, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, a little bit of sage and poultry seasoning.
11. Place dressing in a baking dish.
12. Bake at 365 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
13. Enjoy!

Onion into forts three stocks of celery and three carrots next we’re going to lightly season our chicken with season all garlic powder onion powder and black pepper In a pot add just enough water to slightly cover your chicken add yellow onion carrots celery 2 tsps of chicken bullan and mix for additional flavor you can add Thyme and bay Leaves next add in your chicken cover with a lid and allow allow it to simmer for 2 hours while the broth is cooking we’re going to begin prepping the rest of our ingredients for the dressing dice three stocks of Celery Dice a half of yellow Onion dice a half of green bell pepper Any a pan add 2 tbsp of olive oil add veggies and saut for 5 minutes or until the onion becomes Translucent after 2 hours the chicken broth is done remove the chicken skim some of the grease off the top and strain the broth into a jar or bowl next remove the the Skin and Bones from the Chicken use mainly the thighs and legs for more flavor but if that’s not enough

Good evening everyone,I love making dressing,but I always make too much, I don't know how to measure enough for,four people. I also add chicken to mine
I use all the same ingredients but chicken. I also add cream of mushroom soup. I see adding chicken if you are not . serving chicken in any form.
Otherwise, overkill. Also, can chicken broth can give the same taste if you don't have 2 hours for the chicken to get gone. Other wise it looked delicious.
