Hi so I was given some macaron trays as a gift (as shown above) and wanted to give a try at baking macarons. My first batch of macarons turned out okay I think, but I really struggled to get them out of the indents that they’re stuck in, so I had to get a thin little knife and try and pry them out. I put the oil spray before piping the macarons, so i’m not sure if i’m doing something wrong with these trays or the macarons, but my question is can I make these macaron trays work or should I do the flat sheet and baking paper?

Definitely no… please stick to a flat tray and parchment paper, teflon, or silicon sheets 😭

How do you even get them out? I would just use a silicone baking mat on a sheet pan or parchment on a sheet pan

You can’t use oil spray. Oil and meringue is a no no. Ditch these pans and use parchment or a macaron sheet
