The title says it all. I wanted to eat some takoyaki but no vendors nearby (and I was lazy to make some). So I just bought a premade frozen one (not bad at all btw), and added some jolokia slices.

It was great but I knew it would be because I did this before :).

(Takoyaki is a Japanese dish; wheat flour batter balls filled with diced octopus with a special sauce, mayo, green laver, and dried bonito shavings)

Where the heck did you get frozen takoyaki?

How about some scotch ボンネット pepper instead? For a little wordplay with your food?

There was a place in Austin when I lived there that did takoyaki roulette: one takoyaki would have a habanero in it, but it wasn’t marked.
