One Allrecipes member describes this baked ziti recipe as three cheese’s layered with pasta and marinara sauce this recipe is so easy and so good the number of great meals that can be made using pasta cheese and tomato sauce is extraordinary if you stop and think about it and this recipe is a perfect
Example let’s start by cooking the pasta bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil add one sixteen ounce package of ziddi pasta ziti noodles are narrow tubular pasta noodles about an inch and a half long boil the ziti stirring occasionally for between 8 and
10 minutes or until al dente meaning done but still firm when you bite it drain the ziti and rinse them with cold water and drain them again this will keep them from sticking pre-heat your oven to 375 degrees you can lightly grease a 9 by 13 inch baking
Dish then in a medium bowl add 24 ounces of ricotta cheese a pound of shredded mozzarella cheese a beaten egg one and a half cups of the spaghetti sauce of your choose it from a large 32 ounce jar mix all this together we’re going to reserve
The remainder of the sauce and use it later and then add in the cooked CD and combine everything together well turn it out into the prepared baking dish then distribute the rest of the spaghetti sauce evenly over the ziti and sprinkle a quarter of a cup of grated Parmesan cheese over the top Bake it in the preheated oven for 30 minutes until the sauce is bubbling and the parmesan is slightly melted serve this simple but satisfying pasta dish with garlic bread and a big salad baked ziti is a wonderful go to dinner

holy mother of cheese
looks awesome, however never rinse pasta the sauce wont stick to it,just ask your co worker chef John
I have made a verson of this for 15 years and it does come out great but i like to add a pinch of salt and parsely to the cheese and i do half mozz and half provolone cheeses
it always is a great meal and is a sloppy version of lassagna
I am right there with you on that. Provolone does not get the recognition it deserves along side mozzarella. Herbs are key, too!
Looks great . Making this today , just gonna add some lean ground beef 🙂
I just made this last night with ground beef. it came out so good. I am very happy that I used the Roccta cheese.
I tryed it and it was delicious!!!!!!! Thank u!
NEVER RINSE YOUR PASTA EVER!!!
No rinsing the pasta, and jar sauce nah
I made this for dinner last night and I think this one is a keeper!!
do we have to use ricotta
My first time making Baked Ziti! it was super easy & everyone loved it!
this recipe is not right. first off you use your own marinara. not crap in a jar. parmiaganna regianno cheese. the ricotta should have parsley salt and pepper.
my bad I forgot before baking put a good mozzarella on top.
DO NOT EVER RISE YOUR PASTA IT WASHES OFF THE SALT OFF THE PASTA AND MAKES IT HAVE NO FLAVOR
Keep it super simple!
One of the best baked ziti videos out.
Sooo… ur just not gonna season ur food at all….
