I’m cooking the [stew](https://www.seriouseats.com/pressure-cooker-beef-stew-recipe) for a group with a recovered alcoholic who obviously does not want any alcohol but also nothing with that taste in the food.

I know wine can be substituted with just more broth or cranberry juice or apple vinegar. Do you have any recommendations what would be best in this recipe? It’s just eight ounces (235ml) so I guess it’s not too important but I want it to taste as authentic as possible.

Just use beef broth. Add a little acid before serving. A little sherry vinegar would be nice.
