Recipe
1 1/2 Pounds of skirt steak
1 Bell Pepper Chopped
1/2 Large white onion chopped
Salt and pepper to taste ( Always)
Marinade recipe
Juice of one lime
1/4 Cup Water
2 tablespoons Olive Oil
2 Tablespoons Chopped Garlic ( I use jarred garlic)
1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
1 1/2 Teaspoons salt
1/2 Teaspoon liquid smoke
1 to 2 teaspoons cayenne ( optional )
1 Teaspoon black pepper or to taste

  2. Just tried these out last night, I could not marinate overnight so I waited an hour with steak in marinade. Then cooked my veggies first until the were well done, ( I like them done, I hate when a restaurant serves them raw) set aside then cranked up the heat and cooked the steak…OH MY!!! 10x better than any restaurant! Loved the marinade flavor. I will be making again and marinating over night. Thank you for this simple but fabulous recipe! The key is a really good cast iron skillet, mine was handed down from grandma to mom to me, it gets taken care of better than my husband…hahahahaha!
