Backyard Vegetable Garden Spring 2024

Hello everyone welcome to my channel I AMT if you’re new here welcome today we are going out into the garden and I hope you guys is going to enjoy let’s go ahead out into the garden so the first thing I want to talk to you guys about is this right here

This is my gazebo and if you have a small space this is the way to go I’m actually growing lettuce inside of this window box so this window box is attached to my gazebo and I could have planted up four lettuce and I actually have four of these containers on each

Corner of my gazebo so if you are a small space Gardener and have a balcony something like that this is the way to go to maximize your space now check this out you guys the honey beans are out and how beautiful to see this Popa color in

The garden and I know you guys understand what I’m trying to tell you we have been missing the color and my broccoli has went to flour and how stunning is this and how amazing to see all these honeybees all over this plant so I will definitely be

Keeping this for a little while so the honey bees can enjoy it look at the honey bees hard at work right here is a snowball X cauliflower know you guys it did not go to complete head yes I know I was hoping that my cauliflower would have panned out this

Year from the past years my cauliflower has always did very well this year not so much but I still have a harvest and I still have a slight of a head if they start to open up like this still go ahead and harvest it and enjoy in your

Meal now if your cauliflower didn’t have a head at all that is okay enjoy those leaves I promise you those leaves are just as as amazing as the center of your plant here is a purple Sicily cauliflower it did exactly the same thing as the snowball eggs but how

Stunning is this to see this pop of purple it’s just beautiful now I’m Harvest this and now most likely I would just saute these up so as we go along and in the garden I’m going to go ahead and harvest a great deal so here is my root crop here is my

Carrots they actually are getting a little bit bigger than um before I did Harvest them a couple of weeks ago and they were small small but that’s okay because guess what they had some time to expand as well and look at all of these beautiful carrots

Besides that one we you s I still tried but that’s okay we’re going to harvest it and we still going to chop it up we’re going to use it same thing goes with those carrot leaves go ahead and save those pop them in the salad and you guys enjoy the whole entire

Plant so as I fill around to see if I wanted to harvest anymore they actually are doing really well I will be planting up a tricolor carrots um with the strip just like I planted with this one that a beautiful subscriber sent me so I definitely will be doing that again and

I’m really excited to see how they’re going to perform because these actually perform great okay a I’m not saying great I didn’t have to go out there and thin them so I really really liked that so I went ahead and purchased those scripts which run roughly about four4

To5 okay so I think it was like 3.98 plus tax so four to $5 it all depends on where you get it from all right so here is our carrot Harvest really happy with that my daughter is going to enjoy these plus they’re super sweet you guys

Super sweet and the the variety uh is in the Napoleon Napoleon carrots all right so right here is some radishes I’m going to Har these radishes some of these radishes you guys stay down a little bit too long but I’m going to go ahead and harvest them anyway some

Of them are still really good so I’m going to go ahead and harvest this this is the Globe red radish and then I have in here some sparkler radishes as well radishes are very good um to germinate very quickly and as well you get a turn around very very quickly on

Radishes so if you like radishes plant you some radishes you probably can direct sew those you guys out in your garden especially if you from Zone 7 down I’m quite sure you probably still grow those right in your garden direct sewing like this particular radish here this particular radish right here has

Been down too long you guys and I’m quite sure it is probably not good not good at all so it’s a nice radish but I don’t think it’s going to be good but here is our little radish Harvest so far so good we actually got a

Variety of food out of our garden and it’s always great to plant different varieties out in your garden so you can have something different every other night in your meals like this right here is a giant red mustard I just Harvest them but I saute those up and it were so good

Y’all Harvest from your garden enjoy your garden enjoy the process and you’ll absolutely understand you’re going to love it so I’m showing you guys what I’m working on so I am cleaning out the garden I told you guys it is a work in progress I am taking all of these

Rocks out I moving all the pots and things like that so I am redoing my garden it does not look too bad but I do have a great deal of work that I need to go ahead and do so I cleaned out all of the containers to get them ready for

Spring I will be top dressing all of the containers with some manure but basically compost and I’m going to uh top dress in maybe with an inch or an inch and a half of compost here is my brussels sprouts my brussels sprouts are doing absolutely amazing they’re not

Ready I got to wait till they get just a tad bit bigger here is some broccoli shoots after I harvest my main head so if you did not know that your broccoli will put out multiple shoots after harvesting the main head just leave your broccoli plant

In the ground and it will start putting out these beautiful little side shoots that you can toss into a meal and with this uh little handful that I have here most likely you guys I’m going to be dipping in my buttermilk ranch I like butter MC Ranch I like Fresh

Veggies so here’s all the beautiful brussels sprouts I do have two different varieties here okay the purple ones are finally starting to put on Brussels and if your Brussels don’t put on any Brussels little Brussels enjoy those leaves I promise you they taste just as

Good and have here is some hard rock uh cabbages with all of the the leaves that look a little bad toss those guys into your compost I’m telling you your compost is going to need all the greens and all the Browns half and half and I’m telling you

You have some beautiful soil to pop out into your garden so composting is a great thing I have a tumbler I really am thinking about building back another uh grounded composter like I had before and not just a tumbler but here is my beautiful Harvest today I’m just going to rinse

Off the veggies just a little bit because um I don’t want to bring all that soil indoors so definitely try to rinse off your veggies before bringing them inside because you don’t want all that soil in your drain so definitely definitely do this and here is our vegetable Harvest all

  3. πŸ˜…HI Tee. My cauliflower bit the dust when it was golfball sized. It rotted. My cabbage looks great but I have it in the same 10 gal bag as my broccoli. Looks like it stopped growing so I plan to move it to a separate bag. My beets and carrots look great but I don't know if they are ready. I planted them from seed in Oct Nov. The leaves are beautiful. Smh

  4. Tee you have such a beautiful garden. I don't know which is more beautiful the plants or the food!πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ
