I’m going to dry them and make crushed pepper flakes.

$1 is great for this, 4oz of habaneros in my local grocery stores are always at least $4 if not slightly more. Nice score!

Though after a second look I don’t mean to alarm you but is that mold I see on those two? I thought it was shine from the packaging at first but now I’m a bit concerned.

My favorite pepper! Perfect amount of heat.

Nice you could make a good sauce or even pickle those

I’d usually pay less than US$0.50 for that amount where I live (Central America). A little less if they’re a bit soft.

Orange habaneros are the best pepper in the world. Very hot, very bright, fruity, and floral. The last pepper you can have fun with until you get into stuff that’s so hot it’s just stupid.

Scrambled eggs and habenero is a fantastic way to start the day

I would buy these thinking they were mini bell peppers and be in for a nasty shock when I pop one

I’ve done the pepper flakes before! So tasty, yet so so hit

Similar, but I like to make spicy powder out of them.

Cut the habaneros and take out the seeds only, try to leave as much of the veins since that’s where the heat is. Dry them out however you like.

Take the seeds and put them in the oven at the lowest temp for about 30 minutes.

Put everything into a grinder and make into a powder.

Many times do the same with other peppers and mix together.
