Time for a family favorite weekday dinner that is big on flavor and it only takes minutes to prepare let’s make some honey mustard chicken on the one pot chef let’s make some honey mustard chicken now first things first we’re going to need some chicken i’m using some chicken

Thigh fillets today about 500 grams now i’ve chosen to chop them up into little bite size chunks but of course you can do this using full fillets if you wish just trim off any excess fat could leave a little bit there because that’s where the flavor is now we’re just going to

Leave this aside while we make our honey mustard marinade in my little measuring jug i’ve got two tablespoons of honey and to that i’m adding in one tablespoon of dijon mustard that’s a very mild french mustard it’s got a lot of flavour but isn’t very hot i’m also adding in a

Tablespoon of whole grain mustard now the whole grain mustard obviously has the mustard seeds in it and is a little bit hotter but then the honey helps to counteract that so don’t panic it won’t be sort of spicy or hot and lastly i’m adding in two tablespoons of white vinegar now the

Vinegar helps to thin the marinade out slightly and it also helps to stop it from being a little bit too sweet from the honey so it gives you a sort of sweetness but it also has a bit of sharpness to it just mix that marinade together pour the marinade over the chicken

Give the chicken a bit of a stir just to make sure it’s all nicely coated in that beautiful honey mustard marinade just cover with some plastic wrap and then place the whole thing into the fridge for about half an hour to allow that chicken to absorb all those flavors

Over a medium to high heat i’ve got a lightly oiled saucepan you could also use a fry pan and we’re just going to put our marinated chicken into the pan make sure you get all that lovely marinade don’t put it and we’re just going to cook this for

About six to eight minutes until all of the chicken is nicely cooked through chicken is nearly cooked and the sauce is starting to reduce now at this stage if you wanted to add a dollop of sour cream or just a little bit of cream to

This mixture to give a bit of a creamier sauce you’re more than welcome to but i don’t think it’s really necessary i think this has got a lot of flavor and it’s more than adequate as it is but if you wanted to make it a little bit richer

You’re more than welcome to add that cream in alright i think we’re just about ready to serve that just pour some of those beautiful pan juices over the top this is such a simple dish and what’s great about it is that there’s virtually no effort to it so you can make this

After a long day at work when you’ve got the kids running around like crazy and this only takes really a few minutes of work so let’s dig in and have a taste mmm yum chicken is beautiful and tender the sauce and the honey has got that flavor but it isn’t sickly

Sweet the vinegar really helps to even out everything and bring it all together but it doesn’t have a vinegar taste or smell to it and the mustard is just amazing if you don’t like mustard seeds or if you’ve got a problem with seeded mustard feel free to exchange that tablespoon of

The seeded mustard for just another tablespoon of the regular mustard works just as well well i hope you’ve enjoyed this recipe check out my other videos at onepotchefshow.com and until next time see you later

  1. @NYCvee Small pieces of chicken like this wouldn't need much more than 6 to 8 minutes to cook. Otherwise they will be overcooked and rubbery ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. Looks good, but how would you make more sauce to go over the rice? Add chicken stock? I don't like dry rice….

  3. I love that you feature recipes that are quick and easy. I also enjoy the video as they show the preperation and are not full of filler. You get the information to us in 5-7 minutes not 15 min. Really enjoy your show. Thanks

  5. @Mtrebor63 O.o Who cares if he's gay? I come here to learn new recipes, not butt into someone's personal life or make fun of it.

Now, to comment on the recipe. I made this for dinner tonight, and my family told me I HAVE to make it again. Thanks for posting this, as always, it was delicious!

  6. @NikaPaprika Dijon is a mild mustard compared to most mustards. I just don't want people to use something like English Mustard and get an overpowering taste ๐Ÿ˜‰

  7. @tigereyes8961 if you don't like just regular plain rice, try some Basmati rice, it's the ONLY rice that I'll eat without soya sauce or anything to flavor is up. It's very yummy and absorbs other flavors better than most rice.

  8. Could you use two tbl of whole grain mustard instead of using the digon if you wanted a more spicy flavour or would this over power the dish?

  9. dijon is mild compared to english mustards, your recipes make me look like a cook and really im shite lol keep them coming pleaseeee )

  10. Those are my "Lemon Cheesecake Cookies" – you'll find the video in the "Desserts" playlist on my channel page ๐Ÿ˜‰

  11. can you mix some regular mustard with the honey?? and does it have to be white vinegar? or would the regular one work too? ๐Ÿ™‚

  12. Just watching your videos makes me happy. actually making the food is just a bonus!
