Gochujang is great for tteokbokki and pork. Ssamjang can be used to dip meat or make tuna ssamjang and eat it with rice. I will post tuna ssamjang on my YouTube soon~!! (K-fooding)
If you type “gochujang” in Reddit’s search from the home page you’ll see lots of really neat uses for gochujang like bread, cookies, pasta, sandwiches, roasted meat… (dishes that aren’t necessarily traditional Korean foods) or you could keep it on hand in case you ever want to try making Korean food at home. The little tub is ssamjang. It’s usually served alongside Korean BBQ.

Take equal parts gochujang and ssamjang (I like 2-4 large dollops), add rice vinegar, sugar, dash of fish sauce/soy sauce, sesame oil, sesame seeds, minced garlic and green onions, mix well. You’ve made a homemade version of the popular fire sauce/“dragon” sauce you find in many newer korean restaurants, good for dipping meat and veggies, rice bowls, etc.

Make some rice. Cut some green onions. And some garlic if you like that. Cook some pork. Take lettuce. Slather it with the gochujang and saamjang. Add rice. Add green onion. Dip meat in sesame oil. Place in lettuce. Wrap it up. Eat it. Repeat till satisfied. Enjoy!
