If you’re looking for a 30 minutes or less dinner idea you have to try this beef stroganoff it’s so delicious and pretty simple to make start by seasoning your thinly sliced beef I’m using ribeye with salt pepper then sprinkle with some flour this will give it a nice crust

Later you’ll also need an onion and some minced garlic into a hot pot add some oil and butter sear the steak for about two minutes on each side look at this crust remove from the skillet at the onion scrape the brown bits of the bottom of the skillet add the garlic

Full disclosure here my kids don’t really like mushroom but for some reason they didn’t complain about this one sprinkle some flour and add some beef broth season to your liking I like to keep it simple here a little bit of nutmeg gives it a nice warm flavor Worcestershire sauce Dijon mustard I

Like to use creme fraiche you can also use sour cream either way be sure to temper it first return the beef into the skillet just for a few more minutes and I like to serve it with egg noodles and that’s it I hope you guys have enjoyed

This video I will see you next time bye

  1. RECIPE

    Beef stroganoff
2 lbs thinly sliced steak (I like ribeye)
    2 teaspoons salt
    Black pepper, to taste
    2 tablespoons flour

    1 tablespoon oil
    1 tablespoon butter
    1 onion, sliced thinly
    6 cloves garlic, minced
8 oz sliced mushroom (more if you really like mushrooms)
    2 tablespoons flour
    3 cups beef broth
    Salt and pepper to taste
    1 teaspoon garlic parsley
    Freshly grated nutmeg, optional
    1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1/4 cup crème fraiche or sour cream
1 lb egg noodles, cooked per package directions
    Parsley for garnish

    Directions:
Combine the sliced steak with 2 teaspoons of salt, black pepper and 2 tablespoons flour. Toss and set aside.

Into a hot skillet, add the oil and butter. Sear the steak for about 2 minutes on each side. You may have to do this in batches, I did mine in 3. Add more oil and butter if necessary. Remove the steak from the skillet. Add the sliced onion and cook on low heat for about 6-7 minutes scraping the brown bits off the bottom if the skillet. Add the garlic and mushrooms and cook for another 5 minutes. Sprinkle in 2 tablespoons of flour and cook for a minute. Slowly pour in the beef broth and cook until thickened. Add the Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard and temper the crème fraiche (or sour cream) by mixing a couple of tablespoons of the sauce and whisking until smooth. Add the crème fraiche into the pot, stir and add the steak. Depending on which type of steak you are using only cook until the steak is warmed through, 2-3 minutes with ribeye. Serve with egg noodles and garnish with parsley. Enjoy.
