I asked for extra hot salsa for my tacos, it’s got a good bit of heat and tastes good. I have never seen salsa this dark. And what’s with radishes served with Mexican tacos?

Just a wild guess but looks like a tomatillo/arbol type. Radishes are a fairly common garnish.

For sure there are seeds. So there is that

Any Mexican restaurant you go to, ask for tomatillo or spicy salsa and they’ll give you this. Usually taste the same at chain restaurants, I assume it’s from a jug. Sometimes you find places that make their own. Jalapeño sauce is creamy and green and is amazing

  4. Chile de arbol. May or may not be tomatillo in there but probably is from the color

Can’t really tell from the picture, could be lots of things. Cucumbers, radish, cabbage, cebollitas and other veggies are really common sides/toppings.

I will say all those taste different when they are grown in the USA vs Mexico. In the USA the radish is bland and watery. I still eat them but it’s not the same, none of the produce is the same. 😔
