Hey guys, I have a quick question about my food. It’s premade rice cakes, I’ve never seen this white powder on the rice cakes before. Is it mold? Has it gone bad or is it good to eat?

It’s cornstarch. Over time it clumps together, but it’s a light coating to keep the rice cakes separated.

Mold on tteok teens to be pink/black/green, which is why most people assumed it was cornstarch. But if you say it was slimy and smelled funny, don’t eat it.
