My wife heard about this Souplantation “spiritual successor” and we made the effort to go this past weekend. Showed up over thirty minutes before they opened at 10:30am and there were already some people lining up. After our meal, the line was down the block.
They’re still in their soft opening phase, but all of the classic staple dishes were there: clam chowder, chicken noodle soup, an Asian-inspired salad, muffins, cornbread, etc. And, of course, chocolate and vanilla soft serve.
[We made a YouTube video about our experience if you’re interested in seeing more.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QvOyqRDfqk) As SGV locals who grew up on Souplantation, we left feeling happy knowing something like this is out there once again.

Souplantation was the best after a long hard working day. Where’s this new place located?

I never had the “pleasure” to dine at Souplantation when they were around so seeing the crazy long line is a little mind boggling to me. Don’t know how I would feel about spending $17+ for soup and salad since that can get you a great meal. Seems like a solid choice for locals though.

Stupid Rancho. Why you so far.

I saw some post on IG that a person waited almost 2 hours in line at around 3pm and they kept running out of stuff with vultures taking everything when the new stuff came out. Did you experience that?

Super excited to try this place! I loved Souplantation. How were the dressings? I read a lot of comments that said they weren’t very good.

Saw a review that noted the chicken noodle soup wasn’t the same. Different noodles, almost no chicken.
Hard out.

I’m glad that Souplantation lovers have this, and I’m certain I’m in the minority opinion here, but Souplanation was always just so-so to me, decent soups but salads were of the grab-n-go quality. I was also disappointed that there wasn’t much in the way of proteins, just a lot of carbs.
