One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in town is hands down Mi Tradición where you can find a wide array of great foods to choose from with some of my favorites being the Picadita (a street food snack with a thick maize base pinched on the sides, usually off the griddle) with chorizo and potatoes (pic 1) and Huarache (some say it’s like a big open faced taco, but whatever you refer it to – it’s simply an oblong shaped maize base that’s a bit thicker) with al pastor (pic 2). Both are made with blue corn which has a stronger structural integrity and they load these bad boys up!

They also have a fully stocked bakery with all kinds of goodies where I believe they have some of the best Conchas I’ve had. (Outside the ones my mom makes :P)

The last picture is of what they call a “quesadilla” which was interesting to me as they use this cheese custard type filling (kinda like an egg custard in a way) with atole which is a Mexican maize beverage.

I’m told they have great tortas and tres leches as well, which I haven’t tried, so I can’t vouch.
