Hello, writing from toilet. You guys let the curiosity of the Dave’s reaper chicken get to me and I’m so glad I tried it last night. There’s been so many times where I try some super spicy food or sauce and it’s both insanely spicy but also tastes terrible (looking at you cosmic capsaicin skittles). This was not the case.
I liked how the spice was kind of caked on as if it were a cinnamon sugar. From the first bite I could tell it was going to be painful but definitely knew it was doable. I was dripping sweat after but the pain went away after about 10 minutes. The chicken was great and my first time trying Dave’s. I was fortunate to not have any cramping at all afterwards and now just a little pain upon exit lol. All in all, 10/10 experience and would definitely get again.

I thought it was probably one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had but was disappointed in the spice. Definitely worth eating again tho
Pickles are gross.
It’s only that spicy if they take care to cake it on like you say. Everyone who says it’s not spicy probably just had it the way it comes most the time, with a light coating of spice. I’ve had it about 15 times and I can say only 2-3 times did I have the reaction that you’re describing.
