Bought an electric takoyaki maker which has a circular shape… Wouldn’t really recommend.
Heating is uneven, and because of the shape there are no assist notches so it’s pretty difficult to determine where are the balls exactly. Also since there is not as much excess material outside of the balls the end results are more like half balls.
