Dyna-glo searing grill snapped clean in half when I was brushing it clean. Obviously a cheaper grill but is this just a matter of cheap parts? Or heat, time, pressure while brushing?

It’s so you can share it.

There’s a jingle about breaking of a piece.

  2. That’s a feature. Easier storage.

With a little more seriousness, how are your welding skills?

Now you can slide the grill off the coals to marinate and flip them back over coals. Don’t have to move the meat!!

You probably didn’t grill enough meat to use that much grill grate…. This is how your grill reacted.

Serious note…. I almost always abuse 1 side of my grill grates for indirect heat and I’ve never seen this happen. Not even close.

Happened to my grate after about 2 years of use. Blessing in disguise because I replaced the grate with a cast iron griddle and my reverse sear game has improved 10 fold.
