It would say so on the bottle if they recommended it, I have a scorpion and regular bottle at my desk. They say shake well, but that’s it.

No, if you chill it, it becomes thick and the flavor changes.

They leave it unrefrigerated at Chipotle all day… It is always room temp when I use it from there
BillyBobBarkerJrJr
No, it will not spoil. It may lose color and potency over time, but it won’t spoil.
Lewdiculo
It needs to be placed on food and consumed daily.

Depends on how long you plan on keeping it

I’ve had bottles last a week, or a few years (cabin), and I’ve never refrigerated Tabasco.
VegitoFusion
Nope. I buy this stuff by the half gallon and just refill my 12 Oz bottle. I’ve never refrigerated the half gallon.
Low_Carpet_1963

Hot sauces are supposed to be ph balanced as to not spoil.

Hot sauce is made of natural preservatives. There’s no need to refrigerate it (or worry about expiration dates), but different sauces can react to temp differently.
Generally speaking, if you want to preserve as much of the original flavor and integrity of the sauce, you should keep it refrigerated. Disclaimer that it may get thicker when cold, but just let it warm to room temp before using and it’ll be fine.
Same for soy sauce, incidentally. That being said, the rate of decay is low and fridge is absolutely not necessary and probably not something most palates would even pick out. If you’re used to having it room temp, the temp difference alone will probably feel like a bigger change than any sort of flavor degradation.
All that to say, the only rule is there are no rules. Fridge it. Get weird and freeze it. Boil it. Breathe in the fumes. Burn your sinuses out. Go to the hospital.

Nah, just throw it out after the first taste like I did.
Joking, joking!! I didn’t care for this particular flavor of Tabasco as a topping, but still found uses for it in chilis and stews.

No need. I never refrigerate any of my hot sauces unless they don’t have any vinegar in them.
