My wife and I have been craving Thai food since we are in a food desert, so we decided to hand make the noodles and homemade drunken noodles. Well, our intentions started off good, but we ended up eating not only this but we also made another dish of this a few hours later and had more. In addition, I ate 4 homemade dinner rolls. Needless to say, I went over my 1500kcal max by 500-700kcal and feel pretty down because I was actually making such good progress. (Today marks 30lbs I’ve lost in the last 2 1/2 months so I figured I should treat myself, and I definitely went wild😅).

  1. Treating yourself once in a while is essential to a diet or even just calorie counting. You did fine, don’t stress is and just pick it back up again tomorrow. Personally I think 30lbs in 2 and a half months deserves that awesome cheat day.

    Relationships even with Food have its ups and downs. No need to beat yourself up about having a good home-cooked meal. We practice moderation the next day and continue where we left off.

    it’s all good – i aim for 1600 a day and last week i was sick + getting my period, so my average was 1750 per day, who cares! still lost 0.2% of my bodyweight (I aim between 0.2-0.9 weekly loss) –

    you shouldn’t hate yourself over food, especially not over something so small
