A great step-by-step video on how to easily make chopped liver. This video explains and demonstrates the proccesses involved in making delicious home-made chopped liver. Ingredients include: 1lb of chicken liver, salt, pepper, 1 tbs of olive oil, vegetable oil, salt, pepper, 3 hard boiled eggs, and 1 onion.
Foreign Kitchen today we are going to make one of the most classic Jewish dishes chopped liver it’s very simple to make all you need is chicken liver there’s about a pound here three eggs an onion salt pepper and oil we’re going to chop the onion I’m using
Red Onion but you can use any onion common yellow onions perfectly fine and just nice and it’s about a cup or so one onion so we’ll put the frying pan on a medium fire add on about two to three tablespoons of vegetable oil let it heat up
All right and we’ll add on here the onion and it’s about a cup cup and a half foreign a little bit till it turns golden brown so our onions are ready to go I washed and the chicken liver let them drain quite well I take a paper towel make
Sure all the moisture comes out so as pan dry as much as you can turn up the heat to high and put the chicken liver right to the onions and Mixing it so be nice that’s great what I like to do also is give it a little flavored Brandy and I just use regular Brandy and I’ll pour in about a tablespoon of Brandy and that’s what I’m gonna do get a little flavor I’m going to light it a little bit that smells
A little nice flavor all right well I didn’t got here and we’re going to saute this for about five to seven minutes till the livers are done depending on your stove with its slow fire longer until it’s cooked through the liver seemed to be nicely done I’ll
Put a little bit salt about a teaspoon of salt maybe less I would say half a teaspoon of salt stand for active and we’ll take it off the fire and let it cool our liver has cooled off and looks quite nice the next step is you can do it in a
Cuisinart or you can do it by hand actually and that is to chop up the liver and mix it up with the rest of the ingredients I’m going to use the Cuisinart and we’re going to just put all the livers inside the Cuisinart or you want to get in the oil and the
Onions everything in it including oil so I would scoop up all that oil it’s delicious actually it’ll give it nice texture and make it smoother so I’ll put it all in the blender it all out okay I dropped the liver we’ll get it right
In here then I took my three eggs so I cut them in half I’ll add them on in here into the blender and now we’re going to just foreign looks great I’ll just get it down off the walls again what I’m going to do now is just for Finishing Touch
I’ll add on a splash of black pepper always use my pepper mill it’s nice it’s an old one I got it uh it’s made out of actually Olive Wood it’s really nice again A Touch of salt more it’s a question how much you like it or not I have sea salt I’m using
And we’ll go to final Edge and I’ll add on um another tablespoon of olive oil about a tablespoon to go with a nice smooth finish and we’re ready to go and now we’re going to transfer the chopped liver into a dish oh it’s nice looks really nice
Oh that’s really nice I love serving it with crackers or bagel chips you can do that yeah done a little bit of parsley here and it’s just a gray dish it’s uh certainly not what your grandmother used to make chopped liver

Good recipe, but please bear in mind that this is for Jews. It is part of our Jewish culture. If you aren't Jewish you shouldn't try this. It's our culture, our cousine, if you're a gentile please don't stick your nose into our business. Thanks.
@Bregowald what kind of ignorant talk is this? If you aren't Jewish you cant try a Jewish recipe? It is this sort of ignorance that divides people, and with division comes fear and misunderstanding. Your statement is just blatantly pathetic.
@Bregowald Damn no wonder so many people hate Jews. You people are assholes sometimes.
And didn't even taste once for seasoning.
@jaykia fucking nazi
Bregowald probably isnt a real good person. He may even be not jewish and trying to make people hate Jews.
use butter or bacon fat. vegetable oil is terrible for you
o boy, liver!
I wonder what this tastes like. The onions he was sauteing looked burnt. Is that how they're supposed to look?
U r officially an idiot!
I have never had chopped liver before and found your video interesting. In looking at the videos on youtube, the main super ingredient appears to be schmaltz. Isn't it the schmaltz that makes it? Still, a great presentation and I will try it both ways. Thank you.
This is not chopped liver dude!
s that for a baby
I used this recipe yesterday..turned out "Great" tastes fantastic…Thanks!
Am not Jewish, but I cook chopped lived all the time. Is one of my favourite dishes!! Jus a little tip- add some butter it will make it silkier!! ☺️
Wait a sec, did anyone else notice that he chopped the onion with the outer skin on? Huh?
The Jews here making such disgusting comments, you are making me ashamed to say we belong to the same people. This is certainly not how I make it, but your name-calling and other comments are not ok.
How come you didn’t cut the connective tissue away from the chicken livers? I’ve seen videos that said this was important, in your opinion is it?
No schmaltz – no fun!
I am not much of a cook. I just obtained a used food processor. These instructions were easy to follow. I made the suggested recipe with only minor variation. It worked great!
This looks absolutely fucking delicious!
I thought jews dont drink🍾
