everything was really good quality & the service was very kind—speedy, too. kinda disappointing that they still only do brisket on the weekends, but i get it. the smoked beef was tender & juicy; the smoked chicken was divine, the “chori-papas” even moreso. still can’t decide what i think of the rice & beans; the beans were fine, but didn’t taste like pinto (and they also tasted kinda low-fat?). the frito pie taco was awesome & i’d order that again easily. we’d initially ordered the lamb taco but they were out of lamb, so we ordered the “vato supremo” smoked beef taco—it was pretty mid, but made better with some extra salsa. all of the sauces were really good, with the peppery one being our fave. would go back! dying to try those beef cheeks on a friday.

You could travel up Stassney to Manchaca road have one of the best BBQ joints in austin. The brisket is to die for…

I really don’t think that is brisket. it looks more like a filleted beef tenderloin.

Went here pretty late on a Thursday night and they were out of most of their BBQ. we had the smoked burger and Italian beef sandwich and both were amazing!

I like their smoked burger slightly better than Moreno’s. The patty had a more flavorful crust/seasoning here.
