Hello everyone! Newbie gardener here. I planted my tomato seeds about 2 weeks ago and am considering potting up to 4 inch containers. I’ve read conflicting information, where some say to pot up once you get the second set of true leaves and others say pot up after about a month. As far as I can tell my seedlings are t root bound at this point. Is it urgent that I pot up in the next few days? My varieties are 1 green giant 2 Mexico midget 3 Sun gold 4 black Cherry 5 big pink and 6 brandy boy. Thanks for your help. Side note I noticed some black spots on my Sun gold leaves, are those normal?

Don’t worry about spots on the original leaves those are going to die and wither away. I’d wait 1-2 weeks. Some of those are pretty small still.

Not sure what the science says but looking at a bit of leggines on those seedlings, I’d pot up now and get the stems under soil to sprout new roots.

Master gardener here. Pot up. Did you use non fertile seed start or potting soil? (Don’t use potting soil next time if you did).
Get some balanced fertilizer, make a half “dose” solution. Water from below (capillary action is best).
You can use “Solo” cups for potting up. Make sure to punch holes in the bottoms. 4-5 pencil sized.

I try to pot up as soon as possible. Yours look ready.
