So the wife found this on a Facebook group for free. Frame and burners all look to be in great shape. Hoping some vinegar and elbow grease will clean up this cook top. My only concern is not knowing what actually is on this cook top. Could there be paint? Chemicals? Any other substance? How can I be sure that this cook top will be safe to cook on again? Any advice welcome.

You’re better off getting that sandblasted unless you want to try muriatic acid. She’s a bit rough for vinegar

If you have a angle grinder with a wire wheel it can be cleaned very easily. Once cleaned, season it and it will be like new.
