First time making a post like this on here… hope I did it correctly. ๐Ÿ™‚
Was given new macros last week and didn't nail them exactly but got fairly ballpark calorie wise. It's still a struggle for me sometimes to hit everything exactly. One curveball was learning my sugar free cough drops actually have 8 calories and 2.4g of carbs each. ๐Ÿ˜…
My new macros are 1275 calories, 130P, 110C, 35F for 6 days of the week and then I get a refeed day of 1560 calories, 120P, 180C, 40F.
I started my show prep January 1st 2024 and my show is on July 13th. If I'm not lean enough by then, there's a 2nd show I'm shooting for on Sept 28th instead. The idea of being on an extreme diet for that long is wigging me out a little bit, not gonna lie. It's also my first time doing a show. I've dieted before and reverse dieted but never done an extreme diet like this.
I have to get minimum 13k steps daily right now and I'm expected to lift weights and train hard doing so at least 5 days a week. So needless to say, my TDEE requirements are definitely a bit higher than most and that's what makes this diet all the more challenging for me. I feel tired often. I have to time my intake of food around my workout or risk being hungry or exhausted during my lifting sessions.

Anyway, I'm really glad I found this group because I'm getting tons of great ideas on how I can enjoy filling meals that will also fuel my workouts. ๐Ÿ™‚

Huge disclaimer that what I'm doing isn't healthy and I don't recommend it. Also after the shows, my coach will be putting me on a reverse diet of at least +500 calories immediately after to get me back to a metabolically healthy state.

    Right after I posted this, I noticed an error. MFP has been glitching hard for me lately and it randomly duplicates certain entries. It tracked my NA wine at dinner twice. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ After I fixed that, my total caloric intake for this day was 1276… Closer to my actual goal lol. But for some reason I cannot edit this post to change the image. Strange. ๐Ÿคจ

    I joke that the best meals are the ones where I get to eat like an Alaskan grizzly bear: split a huge platter of sashimi or nigiri (usually salmon, tuna, and yellowtail) with someone, and then go home and demolish a few punnets of raspberries and/or blueberries before settling down to nap or watch a movie.
