QUICK-PICKLED RED CABBAGE
I always have this delicious quick pickled cabbage in the fridge because it goes with just about everything.
I use it for salads, different wraps, tacos, hamburgers or just on a sandwich 🤗
Red cabbage has higher levels of some types of antioxidants than other types of cabbage.It is also a great immune booster!
🇬🇧 Recipe:
For 0.5 l jar🫙:
📝 Ingredients:
⭐️ 200-250 gr red cabbage + a pinch of salt
⭐️ 1 tsp salt
⭐️ 1 tsp lemon juice
⭐️ Approx. 50 ml apple cider vinegar
⭐️ Water
▶️ Instructions:
1- Shred the red cabbage as thinly as possible. Add a pinch of salt and mix around by squeezing the cabbage.
2- Place the cabbage in a cleaned jar. Add salt and squeeze over some lemon.
Add apple cider vinegar (should cover about 1/3 of the jar). Finish with water until it covers the entire cabbage.
3- Put it in the fridge. It is ready to eat after 2 days.
