Any other Korean ramyeon recommendations that are not fire noodles? Also, what are your favorite topping/side dishes to pair with? Thank you 🙂

Based on this taste test, my partner and I prefer Samyang (this is halal version, as we can’t find the original version w/hotdog) better – it has more layers in flavor and has sweetness compared to Jin, which is mostly salty umami.

I love that Samyang, soo underrated

Nongshim Neoguri is really good but you have likely tried it before. The noodles are thicker and more chewy.

I’ve never tried jin but nangshim shin and samyang potatoe noodles are my 2 favorites.

    My all time list:

    1. Shin Ramyun Regular and Black versions
    2. Neoguri
    3. Jin Ramyun Spicy and Mild versions
    4. Nongshim Yukgaejang Cup Ramyun
    5. Chapagetti

OG orange wrapper Samyang is the best non-spicy ramyeon there is

I like Jin better than Samyang, but neither one are my go-tos if not getting spicy. I like Gamtang ( [https://www.amazon.com/Paldo-Gomtang-Ramen-20-Pack/dp/B00IZRPH44](https://www.amazon.com/Paldo-Gomtang-Ramen-20-Pack/dp/B00IZRPH44) )

I always put egg in, sometimes scrambled, sometimes poached, sometimes soft boiled, usually a frozen vegetable or two, sometimes miyeok, and sometimes RamenBae ( [https://theramenbae.com/](https://theramenbae.com/) ). If I have soondubu, I love to put that in, but I usually don’t unless I have a plan for it.

  8. Samyang is top tier for ramen for me, HOWEVER Jin champong is the fire

Jin is my everyday Ramen, samyang is the cheaper and nostalgic choice when I want maruchan.

I like Jin, the spicy one. I haven’t try Samyang yet.
