I got a lot of hate on my last post because I shared how good I felt after a healthy meal from picnik.

Picnik never lets down and is no never here. Absolutely delicious

Oh do regale us with a tale of how much this one cost.

  2. I don’t think the hate they get on this sub is about the taste or quality of their food. It’s more about the price for what you get, and their weird attempted lawsuit against Bento Picnic for using the word “picnic” in their name, then dragged that lawsuit out with appeals, just really shitty, bullying behavior

I don’t doubt that it tasted good but that food *looks* bad. And of course we can assume this was way too expensive for what you got.

But at this point I’m thinking you’re just leaning in to the trolling aspect of this lol

Nothing wrong with picnik dude! I’m sure it tastes great. I think people were more saying stuff about the price, which I do agree is inflated. But hey brother, if you have the money to comfortably get food from there regularly, more power to ya! Enjoy!

I’m sure it’s perfectly serviceable food. Likely a decently healthy option if you have some specific dietary needs and want a convenience meal. But it’s the price that’s baffling to any person who can cook at all.

This must be a troll post? That looks…really bad for $66 lol both in quality and quantity

Check out Bouldin Creek Cafe, they have good healthy food options that are filling and at pretty reasonable prices, even after the gratuity.

    Kudos to you OP.

Stick to what you believe. I am not sure if Picnik will appreciate this negative viral marketing lol.

Yeah ok I’m sure this is a troll post but let’s go.

OP said this was $60 on Uber eats before fees.

You got 3-4 oz chips plus 2oz guacamole. 1 egg, and it looks like three chicken thighs, both on a hash of quinoa, peppers, some chard? and it looks like the egg has feta or cotija cheese?

If this makes you feel superhuman, I challenge you to make the same meal at home, share the results and the cost, and tell us how you feel.

This as a meal prep could cost you less than $5 per serving. At this point, it’s either flexing, trolling, or you have too much money and don’t know how to actually cook and you’re stuck in a “clean or dirty” mindset when it comes to food.

Looks amazing the best restaurant in town since 2015

  11. What’s with the weird hose thing behind the food.

  12. junkdrawer512pt2

Good for you. Now get off this thread and take their trash food w you

The full name of the restaurant is Making a Fortune Off Hipsters Is Gonna Be a Picnik, but they shortened it to fit on the sign.

  14. A dish towel on the stove?! Tell us you haven’t seen Soul Food without telling us you haven’t seen Soul Food.

They use avocado oil in the kitchen which jacks up the price. they cater to people with lots of disposable income+sell adaptogens and other modern snake oil. Original intent of the place (providing restaurant dining for people with restrictive allergies) is noble imo but many annoying customers come in and feign allergies so you have to completely alter a dish creating a headache for BoH and FoH. Worked there for a bit many moons ago. think the founder sold the company and moved west a while ago? the bento picnic lawsuit was indefensible
