Restaurant ramen is good, but spice is always blah. Even if you ask for a spice bomb, or what ever they call their spice sauce.

Don’t go to a Japanese restaurant if you want spicy food. If you’re forced to go there, bring chilli powder with you

Looks like your regular everyday mild-to-medium spice karai ramen to me. Sorry they promised more than they could deliver, OP.

I always have some of my homemade pepper dust in my pocket when I go to get this

Ive given up on hoping for truly spicy food either from restaurants or supermarkets. If I want real heat, I’m adding it myself.

Had a face melter ramen at momofuku nyc one time late at night. Think it was a limited time habenero ramen. It was tough for me and i collect hot sauce.
