Large resalable plastic bag give it a shake to combine and add 2 lbs of beef chuck cut into 1 in cubes to the bag shake the bag again to thoroughly coat the beef with the seasoned flour next Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a large Skillet over medium high heat

Shake the excess flour off the beef and add the beef to the heated oil in batches cook until evenly browned on all sides Then return all of the beef back into the Skillet along with one chopped onion and 8 oz of chopped mushrooms use your favorite kind here cook stirring until the beef is brown and no longer pink on the inside Side when ready transfer the beef and vegetables into a slow cooker and add three diced potatoes five sliced carrots two chopped stocks of celery and two minced garlic cloves for the liquid pour in 1/4 cup of Marsala wine 1 tbsp of worser sauce 3 10.5 o cans of organic beef broth And 1 14.5 o can of crushed tomatoes finally stir in one 1 oz package of dry onion soup mix and 1 teaspoon of Spanish smoked paprika or to Taste cover and cook until the beef is tender 4 to 6 hours on high or 10 to 12 hours on low the stew smells terrific and the beef is nice and tender season to taste with salt and ground black pepper and thicken with the corn starch slurry if Desired the stew is definitely filling enough on its own but if you’re feeding an extra hungry crowd Ladle the stew over buttered noodles or rice

  3. I'd definitely leave out the cubed potatoes and instead serve the stew with buttery mashed potatoes. More frugal and filling, and way more delicious!

  4. Why cook the meat completely before adding it to the crock pot? There's no need because it cooks in the crock pot!!!

  5. I tried this as opposed to my standard beef stew. In my families opinion the onion soup packet wrecked the stew. I have to finish the pot by myself, they don't like it.
