Hello! I am relatively new to Korean food and went to BCD tofu house in Orange County recently. I LOVED one of the banchan dishes in particular and was wondering if someone could tell me the name of it so I can keep an eye out for it next time?
It was the little red dish in the upper right hand corner. It was spicy and chewy with some vegetables I think. SO good!!
Thank you for your help!

It’s hard to see because the quality is blurry, but it looks like salted fish or squid (jeot gal) or ssamjang.
I went digging on their socials and found this, previous commenter was right.

오징어젓갈.
I think it’s a type of dried squid since you mentioned chewy. It’s soften up a bit in water to make it less chewy. Jeot gal isn’t very chewy as it’s raw salt marinated.
