I was not expecting this random creamy horseradish to pack such a powerful punch. Went really nicely, in small doses, with a corned beef.

That stuff is quite intense. Horseradish is a totally different kind of spice, but I do love it.

I’m actually from Wisconsin, and there is a small hole in the wall bar up north in Eagle River. The owner is a sadist, and if you belly up to the bar he’ll get you a drink and then chat with you for a bit. After a while he’ll ask if you wanna try some homemade horseradish, and of course you do, right?!

He’ll come back out with a half a teaspoon of this stuff in a cup, and tells you to try it. I’m not even joking when I say that it literally took my breath away, and I started to get dizzy. Felt like someone kicked you in the chest and maced the inside of your nostrils… He just laughs and laughs.

Then you buy a bottle and fuck with your friends! Good times.

Dude, I bought some Inglehoffer recently, and it is not spicy like hot sauces, but the kick to my sinuses is seriously almost painful. Horseradish / wasabi kicks in a totally different way from capsaicin.
