This is how to make Nigerian Spaghetti Jollof for beginners
*1 pack spaghetti
Parboil with 1-2 Tbspn salt, cook for 5-7 minutes & set aside.
Blended peppers combination
* 4-5 fresh Tomatoes
* 2 medium size red bell pepper
* 3 Cayenne Pepper (Shombo)
* 3-4 Scotch Bonnet Pepper (Atarodo)
1/2 kg chicken breast (or any protein of choice)
Cut into thin long stripes, Season with
1/4 Tspn Salt (to taste)
1/2 tsp seasoning powder
1/4 tspn garlic ,
1/4 tspn onion powder
1/2 tsp black/white pepper,
Stir fry till cooked & set aside.
Others
1 Green Bell pepper
1 Red Bell pepper
1 yellow bell pepper
1 Medium size Onions
Season with 1/4 tspn salt (to taste)
1/2 tspn seasoning powder,
1/4 tspn curry & thyme
saute for 1-2 minutes & set aside
Other ingredients/spices used
1 Medium size Onions
1 Tspn Curry powder
1 Tspn Thyme
1 Tspn white/black pepper
Salt to taste.
You can double or divide the ingredients depending on the quantity you are making.

Hi guys you’re welcome back to our Channel today we’re going to be learning how to make this delicious pot of J love spaghetti from the scratch are you ready without wasting your time let’s get started okay so you’re going to get any type of protein that you have I’m using
Some chicken breast meaning that you can use beef you can use good meat you can use whatever you have this is what I have okay so we’re going to cut this chicken breast into some um thin long Stripes okay so like I’m mentioned before you don’t really have to use
Chicken if you’re using cow meat for instance you can also cut it the same way that I’m also cutting this okay so we are trying to mimic the long thin shape of our spaghetti your pasta okay so you can also decide to cut this chicken in any shape that you want but
Where you’re cooking e you have to be strategic with the shape and the color and the Rhythm and everything and now we have our chicken breast in love te stripes we are now going to marinate this chicken in a bowl you’re going to put everything in a bowl get your
Seasoning powder you’re going to pour it in get your salt get your garlic powder your onion powder some paprika powerder whatever form of spices that you like okay I’m using just the basic ones and as usual the full list of the ingredients will be in the description
Box so you can check it now we’re going to set it aside now we’re going to get some bell peppers okay so I checked my fridge and this is what I have and this is what I’m going to be using some green pepper some yellowish greenish bell
Peppers and some red bell pepper H so use what you have the goal is just to add some pop of color to our spaghetti stir fry and can you guys see the way I am cutting this we also going to be cutting the bell peppers Into Thin long
Stripes okay so chop up the top and the bottom remove the inner core and then just use your knife to just cut cut into long thin Stripes as I am doing so pay attention don’t go and cut your bell peppers anyhow if you cut it anyhow your spaghetti will come out looking anyhow
You have to be strategic all right so when you’re done cutting the peppers um repeat the same for the green bell peppers yellow bell peppers if you have and don’t forget that that upper part of the bell pepper don’t throw it away it’s also going to be very very useful remove that that
Inner core and also just cut into um some long thin Stripes as much as possible and then you’re going to set it aside now we have our yellow green and you know yellow beell peppers cut together set it aside now we’re going to get our onions yes get your onion also
Cut into some Thin medium long Stripes as much as you can so guys a big have you people found the way of fin cutting onions without crying because as I was cutting this ah I was shedding tears I’ve tried everything from chewing gum to cutting underwater to sticking
Your tongue out some people say you should chew bread while you are cutting different things and it’s just not working at first it look like it’s working but after a while the water will just start coming out like that anyway we are done with our onions we’re going
To set it aside now to our pepper meat okay um you need some Tomatoes obviously you need some onions and you also need some bell peppers um cayenne peppers and some Scotch bonnet pepper also known as ataro any type of pepper that you can find in your area just gather them
Together add some Tomatoes yeah this is your bell pepper and then yeah your can pepper as well so just mix it together we are going to roughly chop this or blend this in the blender depending on what you have okay I am using this small choa because I like the rough
Consistency that it gives in a minute or so we are done chopping so just use what you have in your kitchen Okay now that we have our Peppers we’re going to set it aside and now in a pan we’re going to sauté our vegetables okay so you’re going to add some oil okay you are now going to add your onions and your bell peppers um we basically want to sauted the vegetables separately and
Then add it later when we are done with the spaghetti okay so that way the vegetables would stay crunchy and still fresh okay now you’re going to likely season your peppers with some salt and some seasoning powder and you’re going to just mix together to sauté for a few
Minutes 2 to 5 minutes is okay it’s just to give your pepper that you know extra Crunch and shiny look separately on its own and then you’re going to set it aside immediately and now we are going to start cooking apart from your peppers you can also add your vegetables like
Your broccoli your carrots whatever you have or you like okay set it aside now in the same pan we are going to also drizzle some oil and then pour our marinated chicken pieces we are going to fry these it is golden brown or we’re going to set it aside so same thing if
You’re using beef if you using whatever protein that you’re using just do it the same way okay don’t worry it’s going to be well cooked just marinate and then fry like this in a pan of um oil a little bit of oil and then you’re going
To set it aside yeah so our chicken is well cooked we’re going to take it aside and now I hope you guys are following I hope you’re still there Now we’re going to start by P boiling our spaghetti in a pot of boiling water okay so this is your pot there’s water inside it already it’s already boiling you are going to get your pasta right and yeah I always like to add salt first yeah um and then you get your spaghetti
Out you can use any brand of choice this is the brand that I am using just go to your local Market Supermarket and get your pasta from there and then just pour it in like that you’re going to use your not your hand please you’re going to use your spatula
Your cooking spoon to just press the spaghetti in I hope you’re not part of those that used to break spaghetti when they cooking it don’t break it though don’t let Italians catch you just put it in like that okay okay and then after boiling for about 5 5 10
Minutes you can now take it out because it’s partially cooked yeah it’s alente that’s what they call it and then you’re going to just um strain this through a colander and then you’re going to set it aside now in a pan a walk whatever you have you’re going to drizzle some oil
And then in that pan when the oil is all you’re going to pour in some onions yes I hope you’re still there and then you are going to get what they call the tomato paste okay you can use any brand of choice about a SA or so is okay and
Then you’re going to fry this tomato paste in that oil for a few minutes just to give the tomato paste its own um Taste and to take away any sourness from the paste if there is any in it and then going to just fry together fry fry fry
And now you are going to add some spices to your tomato paste okay I’m using the basic ones feel free to add or subtract this is your Curry your thyme some ginger and garlic paste whether fresh or the paste version whichever one you have just mix together and then you’re going
To pour in your pepper mix mhm the one we roughly Blended earlier right so just mix together and now we have our sauce for the spaghetti now you can add some seasoning powder add some salt add some paprika powder more pepper if you like pepper like I do just mix together we’re going
To leave this to fry for a few minutes you can take some pasta water out the one we using for boiling the spaghetti yeah so either you use your pasta water or you use your normal water or you get some chicken stock or your beef stock
Whatever you have pour it in allow your stew your sauce to fry for about 5 to 10 minutes and as you can see the oil is dancing happily on top of the sauce now you can pour your chicken your protein whatever you have they are using for
This um recipe and then you can now take out your pasta and just pour it inside it yes we are almost done cooking okay so don’t go anywhere and then you’re going to just mix together to purly combine and you guys your your love spaghetti is like halfway
