After burning my chimney handle off the other day… I’m taking yalls advice

    I just grab 4/5 sheets of paper towel fold it up nicely and then pour olive oil or vegetable oil inside the folds so it saturates a bit of towel but not crazy. Lights up nicely

    Lump coal is the way to go, not briquettes

    I melted my handle off. Just snipped off the burnt plastic pieces and have been good since. It builds character.

    Fire cubes also help the chimney starter get the coals fired up

  7. I use these starting balls underneath. They seem to be made of straw and wax. I honestly don’t know what they are made of, but starting charcoal like that is easy amd very effective.

    Put it in the chimney, 2 sheets of newspaper in the bottom, charcoal on top.
