Hey y’all i’m mandy and this is mandy in the making i’m gonna make three really easy casseroles that your family is gonna love I just wanted to say this is my 100th what’s for dinner video here on youtube which is crazy i can’t believe i’ve made that many but with that being said stephen and i were brainstorming the other day and thinking how can we change this up and while i love the name what’s for

Dinner because i mean it explains exactly what i’m doing here we decided that we’re going to change the name of these so you know a while back i added a segment into my what’s for dinner videos called subby supper where my subscribers send in one of their favorite meals

Little plug here if you haven’t done that go ahead and email me at mandymaking2018 gmail.com and just send me one of your favorite recipes but subby supper has stuck everybody knows what subby supper is if you’ve watched my videos for any length of time so instead of calling this what’s for dinner

We’re going to change these weekly videos they’re going to be the same as far as i’m still gonna share with you two to three meals usually three for the week but they’re now gonna be called winter dinners the reason we’re changing it from what’s for dinner to winter dinners is because it better

Describes what we’re doing here a lot of people who stumble upon my channel say well her husband likes everything that she makes we want to see something that he doesn’t like heads up i’m never going to show that i’m just not i don’t want to waste your

Time you came here to get dinner inspiration not see a flop of a meal so all of the meals we share here on my channel are all winners so they’re winner dinners you can thank steven for that name so welcome back to my channel welcome to the very first winter dinners

Where it’s basically a what’s for dinner let’s get started i mentioned this week is somewhat themed and it really didn’t start out like i didn’t start out saying oh i want to have a themed dinner week i just found two really easy casseroles that sounded really good so

I went and searched through my emails from all of my subbie supper submissions for another casserole i found one and it just became casserole week this first casserole is like tex-mex inspired it’s called firecracker Casserole now that i’m finishing up this jalapeno let’s move over to the stove and brown our ground beef i’ve got this medium to large skillet here i’m going to heat it to about medium high heat and i did want to mention i already have my oven preheated to 350 degrees

I’m just going to add in my lean ground beef this is 93 7 so i won’t have to drain it the recipe doesn’t say to add this until you’re assembling the casserole but i like the flavor of my onion cooked in with my ground beef so that’s what we’re gonna do okay while

Our ground beef is cooking i’m gonna go ahead and shred up about a cup of cheese Okay let’s start assembling our casserole i am going to spray this dish so i’m going to do a layer of meat on the bottom So the recipe calls for ranch style beans i could not find that at my grocery store so i’m just going to use chili beans you don’t want to drain this so i’m leaving all of the juice in there we’re going to pour about half of it on now Now i’m going to add in about half a can of rotel some cream of mushroom soup I’ve got corn tortillas that i’m just going to rip up into smaller pieces and layer on here i’m gonna add our cheese just about half of it right now and i just realized i never added my jalapeno to my beef so let’s do that now the bottom layer won’t have jalapeno but

This second layer will Okay this is going in a 350 degree oven For about 45 minutes Reminds me of chili it’s got the the beef the chili flavors in there it kind of is like chili isn’t it very much like chili but We’re gonna see oh he’s gonna look there That’s really good is it oh yeah with that sour cream yeah spicy and then the sour cream and those beans oh i love the pinto bean flavor yeah the chili beans yeah so in case you didn’t notice or catch it when i was assembling the casserole i

Totally forgot to put another layer of the cream of mushroom soup we were kind of in a rush and i wasn’t paying attention but i’m guessing it’s okay without it oh yeah it’s got plenty of flavor in that it’s funny when i use the chips here it reminds me of like a nacho

Yeah like a smothered nachos or whatever okay for our second winner dinner we are gonna have a ground turkey and spinach casserole this one sounds really good and it’s super easy let’s do it to get started i preheated my oven to 350 i am adding some olive oil to this

Large skillet that i’ve got on medium-high heat adding one pound of ground turkey i’m gonna break it up and after i break it up i’m gonna add our onion and then the recipe doesn’t call for it but we’re gonna add some minced garlic because that’s just how we roll We always season our ground turkey i’m just going to add some pepper and then i’m also going to add about a tablespoon of anti-no-no seasoning Our turkey has finished cooking we’re going to add in a can of cream of chicken soup i’m just mixing all of this together to get it good and combined and then we’re going to let it come up to a simmer and then it’s going to be time to

Assemble our casserole i’ve got this baking dish that i’m greasing i’m going to add in the turkey mixture first After i get that into an even layer i’m going to assemble our second layer which is one pound of frozen spinach that i have thawed and then i squeezed out all of the excess liquid i’m adding some salt and pepper to it and then i’ve got a little spectator in the back Next i’ll be adding these two eggs that have slightly beaten into the spinach and mix it around now our spinach mixture is going on top of our turkey mixture i’m just going to spread that out all over And lastly for our topping we just need about one pound of mozzarella cheese that’s been shredded Okay now it’s time to go in the oven at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes [Applause] Turkey spinach casserole very good all right here we go okay oh yeah wow yeah lots of flavor in that turkey man yes not bland whatsoever i was you were skeptical i was like we got to put some seasonings on this turkey right well you get the nail in the head it

Is really good um and the spinach is perfect in there i love the the cheesiness of it and that um cream of chicken soup that you add in there oh man just so delicious i’m just serving it by itself tonight honestly we’re not starving we had a big lunch so i think

Rice would be a good side to this like rice pilaf or something like that some good bread all right i’m gonna give this one a try i totally forgot to come back on here and tell you my opinion i think this tells you my opinion it is so tasty i definitely recommend

Good morning yes i said morning i am starting our third meal our third dinner this morning you’ll see why tonight is subby supper Tonight subbie supper we’re gonna do breakfast for dinner it’s a breakfast casserole it’s much different than anything i’ve ever done and i’m really excited about it it came from sharon sharon said that her husband is not a huge egg fan but because this breakfast casserole is not too

Eggy it works well for them her sister gave her this recipe a long time ago and it’s been one of their go-to favorites sharon and her husband have two children they’re no longer children they are young men she has a 17 year old and a 22 year old

Her 22 year old graduated college this last year and just recently got married so she said she now has a daughter in love her 17 year old is a rising senior in high school he is super smart and he is an avid gamer sharon works from home as a medical transcriptionist

And she also plays piano for their church she said her husband is an accounting manager and he’s also a middle school sunday school teacher for their church as well sharon thank you so much for sharing this recipe with us this recipe is called sausage mushroom breakfast casserole but

If you’re not a fan of mushrooms not a big deal i’ll tell you about that later we’re going to start off by browning up all of this sausage now let’s assemble our egg mixture i’ve got four eggs that i’ve slightly beaten two and one-quarter cups of milk one can

Of cream of mushroom soup okay now that i’ve mixed that up at this point if your whole family loves mushrooms you would add in a four ounce can of sliced mushrooms that’s been drained directly into here cole is not a fan of mushrooms so we’re gonna leave that out

And just put mushrooms on about half of the breakfast casserole okay let’s put this casserole together i’ve got a 9×13 dish i’m gonna spray it with a little bit of olive oil spray you need just a little over two cups of seasoned croutons this is the big bag from sam’s

Now directly on top of our croutons we’re going to add our cooked sausage lastly we’re going to take our egg and milk mixture and pour it over top one thing sharon said that you could substitute for the mushrooms is diced green chilies i think that’s a great idea as well

I’m just going to put mushrooms on half now it is the week of me for getting ingredients apparently i’ve totally forgot to add in ground mustard i’m gonna sprinkle that over the top now i’m just gonna put the lid on this and put it in the refrigerator for eight hours

This came on a perfect day because i’m gonna be out of the house most of the day today so tonight when i get home or this afternoon when i get home i’m just going to take it out of the fridge and let it stand for about 30 minutes

Before we put it in the oven i’ll be back several hours from now but you’re about to see it see you in a second okay it has been all day let’s take this out of the fridge now that it’s been sitting out for a little while i’m going to go ahead and

Preheat my oven to 325. it’s been about 30 minutes let’s go pop this in the oven uncovered for 50 to 55 minutes at 3 25 and then we’ll top it with cheese for the last five minutes now we just need to shred some cheese to

Go on top we need two cups of shredded cheese Now that it’s been baking for 50 minutes we’re gonna add two cups of shredded cheddar cheese on top Now this just goes back in the oven for five more minutes Hmm oh man yeah that is good oh wow mushrooms yes we love mushrooms well coal doesn’t but we do okay so the croutons very good um lots of flavor because you got the garlic and the butter right in there that’s and they’re nice and soft they’re not soft and they’ve absorbed

All of that flavor in there would you use like cream of mushroom soup or something yeah okay so yeah all of that’s in there that’s really good you did a good job well sharon did a good job because she’s the one who sent it in so thank you sharon thank you sharon

Sharon this is delicious it is a lot different than any other breakfast casserole i’ve ever made she said thanks for sending in a recipe that had cheese thank you so much for watching this episode of winner dinners give me a thumbs up if you like the new name

Also give me a thumbs up if you plan on trying any of these casseroles they were all so delicious if you haven’t already i would love for you to join my youtube family hit that red subscribe button before you go and i’ll see y’all next time bye can i help you Just filming talking okay no no no no no that’s fine right there oh okay Now this is stop now this is going back in the oven for five more minutes that’s all i needed i don’t know if that’ll make a difference Oh did you do that the whole time i was talking about take a big old bite stephen why make me choke yes then why do you want to do it because it would be funny i’m gonna take the tiniest line okay just a teeny You want me to eat the whole thing You do it you just put that whole thing in your mouth Cult red-handed who do you think

  1. I would love to see some of the recipes that are "duds" just to know which ones to not bother with, but I totally understand your reasons for choosing not to show them.

  2. Anything would taste better than frozen pizza dough. I MAKE MY PIZZA DOUGH IN MY BREAD MACHINE AND ALSO MAKE MY PIZZAS ON PANS MADE FOR BAKING PIZZA. I MAKE ALL MY PIZZAS FROM SCRATCH JUST LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE I COOK. LOVE YOUR SHOW MY HUSBAND LOVES TO EAT ONLY MAN I KNOW WHO ASKS WHATS FOR DINNER WHEN HE GETS UP EVERY MORNING

  4. We are not big casserole makers. But you make them look delicious. And please, no negative videos of Steve not liking yor dishes. 🤣🤣

  5. My family doesn't like mushrooms. What can I replace them or the cream of soup with when it calls for them ir the soup.

  6. New name fine with me. Alot of work is behind finding these recipes and Winners is why they are on your video. Love Gracie Lou. She’s so cute! I’m actually I making Enchiladas tonite. So really enjoyed the casseroles. Egg one sounds good. Thanks for sharing.

  8. You 3 recipes have a tons of cheese ? And all 3 have cane soup ? Almost all your casserole dish have those 2 unhealthy ingredients ? But it's OK ! It's your family and you love those recipes. I have tasted some of the dish with can soup and cheese , but my family doesn't love the taste of
Can Soup so do I So . I made bechamel sauce…oh wow ! You put the seasonings of your choice in and it taste so good , taste so fresh, nothing compared with the can soup and you know, people's started to put can soup to replace the bechamel sauce in recipes , because some said that's it's to hard for making it or it's to long ??? All it take it 5 minutes ??? Anyway I love authentic recipes and dish so ! I've made the dish with spinach but I've made bechamel sauce and bake fresh spinach because the taste of frozen buy store taste nothing like the fresh bake, have you tasted the difference ? It's incredible the difference, must try. Oh and I've made this dish with chicken because didn't had turkey and have put some Swiss cheese on top and was delicious. I have find on your channel a few recipes that I make for a while, with little difference with the choice of ingredients like can soup or canned veggies. But it make all difference believe me. Fresh mushrooms doesn't taste the same has in can like all the rest of the veggies !

  9. I liked these casseroles, I especially liked the idea of using croutons for the breakfast one, but would not have used mushrooms either. I will try all three of these.
