Spicy Edamame

    The first time I ever went to a Japanese restaurant (Izakaya) I ordered edamame, something that I’d never had before.

    I ate the shells.

    My Japanese friends that were with me didn’t say anything, perhaps to spare me the embarrassment. I kind of want to ask them if they remember that, but then I’d have to live through the humiliation again.

    Despite that it is one of my favorite foods. Yours looks great!

    I make spicy edamame as a snack but I just cook them and then toss with a bit of chili crisp, so good!
