Apparently 1 package of this ramen (with seasonings) is only 140 calories. Third picture is two packages cooked. Is this too good to be true? Seems like it should be way more even though the noodles aren’t fried.

    It’s shocking that it has seasoning oil and is still so low calorie, but the oils are last in the ingredients. It seems fine to me, you can only trust it as much as anything.

    I don’t know anything about their drying process, but 3oz (85g) of dry pasta has 317 calories though, and I’m not seeing a lot of extra fiber or something so I have concerns.

    I would say probably. The package is 85g, but the protein+fat+carbs is only 33g.

    Of course, some of that could be water or whatever else, but they’re just dried noodles so I don’t really see why there would be such a big difference.

    I looked these up on Amazon just to see packages. The plain one says 180 calories and this Yakisoba says 310. Seems like something is wrong.

    Those macros don’t even add up to 85g

  7. Could potentially be that it’s 140 kcal per 85g not 140kcal per packet. As I’m guessing they weigh more once cooked

    I shop at my Korean market regularly and have actually noticed calorie differences in some products. The amazon or Walmart versions will differ in amount of calories then the one in the Korean market. I’m not sure why it is I always just assumed it was a packaging issue/import thing
